Watching Mandy and Ben together you get the sense that they were meant for each other. Their wedding on March 22 was destined to be. Although they dated in high school, Mandy and Ben went their separate ways for years before reuniting. When Ben was transferred to Hawaii for work, Mandy followed. An intimate group of family and friends gathered at Kahala o ke Kai to celebrate after the ceremony at the Diamond Head Gazebo. It's great to be part of a wedding where you can feel the couple's happiness and love.

Mario Madness
Guest usually admire and photograph the bride's cake at a wedding reception, but at Jennifer and Jon's wedding on March 21, the groom's cake was in the spotlight. As a surprise to Jon, Jennifer ordered a cake featuring the game Super Mario. At the top of the 3-tiered cake was the Princess' castle and winding up the tiers were the characters and objects from the game. There were even teeth to pay homage to Jennifer and Jon's profession. Hey...where's Yoshi?
Beating the weather odds
Given the stormy weather on the morning of March 14, all a bride could do was pray for clearer skies by the afternoon. And that's exactly what Erica did. According to one of the bridesmaids, "We prayed and tried to live good lives." Erica had made 2 trips from Kentucky to plan the destination wedding, and it seemed a shame to have it indoors. Miraculously by 5:00, the sky was blue and guests gathered at the Diamond Head Gazebo of the Kahala Hotel to witness Erica and Jason become husband and wife.
Ham it up!
We've started taking individual photos of the bridal party members asking them to do something fun for the picture. This gives us a chance to create some excitement and break the ice with everyone. Eliza and Sean's bridal party played to the camera, especially the guys. Their antics were entertainment for the ladies who cheered them on during the wacky posing. Eliza and Sean were photographed at the La Pietra campus before their ceremony at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki.
Radio Flyer special delivery
One very special guest at Sandy and Carl's wedding was their little son CJ. It was a delight to grandparents and guest alike to see CJ pulled down the aisle in a Radio Flyer wagon decorated especially for the occasion. Sandy and Carl exchanged their vows in the Garden Courtyard of the Halekulani Hotel on March 6.
Deserving couple
Thirty minutes before their ceremony, Jasmin and Ameer were faced with a difficult decision--move the event indoors because of the wind and rain or keep the festivities outside at Kahala's Diamond Head gazebo. Miraculously the skies cleared long enough to have the ceremony and photos outdoors. Jasmin and Ameer remained calm and positive through all of the challenging weather. Perhaps it was their attitude that protected them from the elements. If any couple deserves their dream wedding, it is this sweet couple. Jasmin and Ameer were married on March 3.
Flower girls can't do wrong
Children add a cute and sometimes unpredictable aspect to a wedding day. Staci and Michael were surrounded by their nieces and nephews at their wedding on February 22, and the flower girls took their duties seriously. Before Staci could walk down the aisle of the Central Union Atherton Chapel, the flower girls had to empty their baskets. This created a cute little traffic jam and a bright pink pool of petals. Those are the precious moments that make each wedding unique.
Seven beauties
Mr. Chung was the thorn among the roses when he gave his daughter Hyun Kyeong away. The bride is one of 7 sisters. Hyun Kyeong and Hyoung Tae exchanged their vows at the Diamond Head gazebo of the Kahala Hotel and Resort on February 15. The couple honored their cultural roots by changing into traditional Korean hanbok for their reception at the seaside Kahala o ke Kai.
