Kaimuki Camera partnered with Eugene to offer a class on glamour photography. On Friday, February 27, the participants worked with posing and lighting with a model. On Saturday, February 28, it was time to work on perfecting their images using Photoshop tricks and techniques. Each participant left with a poster print of their creations. Thanks to Neil at Kaimuki Camera for advertising the event and to Lu our excellent model.

We had the pleasure of spending some time at Hualalai Resort in Kona to capture action photos for our client. The greeting card made from the resulting images must have been a big hit with recipients still dealing with the winter's cold.

Our display from the Kahala Bridal Showcase was too pretty to take down after just 1 night. Fortunately we have the opportunity to decorate the Kahala Catering and Conferences showcase window. Hopefully brides-to-be won't be able to pass by without stopping for a closer look.
We spent a day in Maui with the Maui Professional Photographers on November 7. Eugene spoke about glamour photography and how he incorporates beauty and fashion shots into his style of wedding photography. Thanks to John Henry, president of the group, for inviting us to visit and talk story with our colleagues on the Friendly Isle. Our model was a former Miss Maui, and as Eugene said, she makes the photographer look good. Eugene took this shot as part of his demonstration.

This flower is called Prunis. It kinda looks like Sakura or Cherry Blossom. Earlier this year we photographed this beautiful shrub for Cafe Laufer. It is so stunning.
