Drinking before your wedding

It's a good habit to drink lots of water daily, but especially before your wedding.

According to makeup artist Alison Hayashi, brides should drink plenty of water the week leading up to the wedding.  Well-hydrated skin gives the makeup staying power.

Introducing "kiss&makeup..."

One of our favorite make up artists is Alison Hayashi, owner of kiss&makeup.  She pumps the bride and bridesmaids full of her good energy so everyone is not only beautiful but also in a great mood for the big day.  Alison's brides usually become lifelong clients returning to her for custom blended make up, brow shaping and lessons.

 

Since Alison is usually the first to see the bride on the wedding day, we asked her these questions for fun.

 

• What are brides usually wearing when they let you into their hotel room?

Usually, they're in shorts and some old borrowed buttoned down shirt since that's what I request and realized that people really no longer wear buttoned down shirts anymore! The look is very "before" in comparison to the "shining bride" in her beautiful gown "after."

• Have you ever gone to the hotel room and the bride was still sleeping?

YES!  I've knocked on the door and I can usually tell because there is no noise coming from the room and the little peep hole is dark.  I've also driven up to a couple of bride's homes and there are no lights on and I get a slight anxiety attack. Worst part is they haven't brushed their teeth yet...yikes!
